Course Content

Risk management of Temporary Works - health and safety and business-related

Communication, Cooperation, Coordination and Competence (4 C's) of those supervising Temporary Works on a construction site. 

An understanding of the role of the Temporary Works Supervisor.

An understanding of the legal duties.

Understanding BS 5975:2019, The code of practice for Temporary Works procedures. The use of practical guidelines on design, specification, construction and the use and dismantling of falsework.

Effective management of the Temporary Works process.

Classroom Requirements

Photo ID (Driving License, Passport)

Follow COVID procedures 


Remote Training Requirements

Clear video and audio quality, to clearly see and hear the course content from your trainer.

Must be able to have two-way communication, to ensure that courses remain interactive for you to ask questions.

Must have a webcam, to provide evidence of identity and always be visible throughout the duration.

A microphone is needed, to participate during the course and answer all examination questions.

​Further Development

CITB / Site Safety Plus TWSTC (Temporary Works Supervisor Training Course) has to be renewed every five years by attending another course before the expiry date. Further qualifications include the Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS). You may also consider progressing onto the Construction Site Management NVQ Level 3 which will help you attain the CSCS gold card.
