Who Should Attend

This accredited NEBOSH General Certificate is for personnel e.g. managers, supervisors, non-safety specialists etc. with health and safety responsibilities and who need a grounding and recognised qualification in occupational safety and health.



Course Content
Unit NG1: Management of Health and Safety

Question paper (one 20-mark question and ten 8-mark questions)

Element 1 Why we should manage workplace health and safety

Element 2 How health and safety management systems work and what they look like

Element 3 Managing risk – understanding people and processes

Element 4 Health and safety monitoring and measuring

 

Unit NG2: Risk assessment

Practical assessment (Elements 1.1, 1.2 and 3.4 are also assessed by the practical assessment from UNIT NG1)

Element 5 Physical and psychological health

Element 6 Musculoskeletal health

Element 7 Chemical and biological agents

Element 8 General workplace issues

Element 9 Work equipment

Element 10 Fire

Element 11 Electricity


Assessment

This accredited NEBOSH qualification is assessed by your question paper (2 hours) and a workplace-based practical inspection project.  The exam is conducted in our training centres at the end of your course, and the project is completed in your own workplace. The project should take no longer than 3 hours to complete and you have to return it to us by post.

Further Development
Conversion to other NEBOSH qualifications such as the NEBOSH Construction Certificate (NCC1 & NCC2). NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5. Membership of either IOSH or IIRSM.
