The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order requires 2005 requires that those in control of non-domestic properties (including shared areas of multi-occupancy buildings) carry out a Fire Risk Assessment. A Fire Risk Assessment should be undertaken by a competent person. The Fire Risk Assessment should identify suitable controls to both prevent fires and what to do in the event of an emergency should one break out.
