The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order requires 2005 requires that those in control of non-domestic properties (including shared areas of multi-occupancy buildings) carry out a Fire Risk Assessment.
A Fire Risk Assessment should be undertaken by a competent person. The Fire Risk Assessment should identify suitable controls to both prevent fires and what to do in the event of an emergency should one break out. Employers should ensure that all employees receive appropriate Fire Safety Training to include procedures.
