Health and Safety Training Online
In the “new normal” with the ever-changing rules and regulations on social and physical contact at the moment in the UK, the way we do things has changed and that is especially true here at Libben. There has been an increasing demand for remote online health and safety courses. So what’s all the fuss about? Why are so many people booking these courses? Should you be booking one? What are the benefits you may ask?
In this blog, I will explain the benefits of online training courses and how you can develop your skills and knowledge from the comfort of your own home. I will also discuss some of the great courses that we offer and the ones you can book onto today. I will outline the equipment and technology needed to participate in these online training courses and how you can book onto them too.
E-Learning requires 40-60% less time to learn than in a classroom!
As mentioned before the way we do things are changing and evolving in particular the way we do training courses and online learning.
In a statistic from shiftelearning they found that participants learn 5 TIMES more material without increasing the time spent in training.
Another amazing statistic from the open university found that producing and providing e-learning course consumes an average of 90% less energy and produces 85% fewer CO2 emissions per student than face-to-face training.
Cost-Effective - Spending £13.70 Every day for a Year Amounts to £5,000
At the time of writing this the UK is currently in a recession so every penny really counts. Following these interesting statistics, it’s clear to see the benefits of online and e-learning training courses. The more obvious benefit of studying at home will be the savings in transport and lunch costs etc.
All of our courses are held on video software such as zoom or Microsoft teams, so you still get the opportunity to engage with tutors and other delegates on your course in an interactive way. This gives the experience of a still very real classroom like feel to things but without actually sitting together in one room.
Can I Complete an E-learning/Virtual Training Course?
So by now you might be considering taking an online training course. But you might be thinking what do I need to take a course, so here are a few recommendations.
Laptop/Computer and a Good Wifi Connection
Number 1 you will need a laptop/computer; this doesn’t need to be a super high tech one just a functioning one with a good wifi connection. To test your wifi connection use this link here.
Also, you will need a web camera. A good web camera allows you to engage with your fellow classmates and really get involved and get that classroom feel to it.
What Can I learn? What Courses Can I Book?
